How I work

Before We Work Together

I don't expect my clients to know everything about marketing. That's why you're hiring me.

But I do believe the best work happens when we're both invested in what we're building.

I work best with owners who care about where their company is going, communicate and are open to new ideas. If that sounds like you, there's a good chance we'll work well together.

Who I work best with

Who I Work Best With

I work with established home service businesses and general contractors that already have something real to build on.

You don't need your marketing figured out or a perfect content strategy. That's where I come in.

But you should have some idea of where you want your business to go.

I can help market where you're going, but I can't choose the direction of your business for you. I work best with owners who are intentional about what they're building and open minded about how we get there.

What I believe

What I Believe About Marketing

I don't believe in posting just to post.

A few strong pieces of content that give someone a reason to pay attention beat posting every day just so we can say we did.

Quality matters. Consistency matters. And people matter.

People connect with people, not logos.

Your customers are choosing someone they trust to enter their home, work on their property and handle something important. If you care about your work and the people you serve, I want them to see that.

Your marketing shouldn't feel like it could belong to any contractor in America. It should feel like you.

What I need from you

What I Need From You

I don't need you to become a marketer. I don't need you answering my messages five minutes after I send them. And I don't need you thinking about social media all day.

But there are a few things I do need for this to work.

Communication

I know you're busy, and I don't expect an immediate response. I do need to hear back within a reasonable amount of time so we can keep things moving.

Communication goes both ways. If something isn't working for you, tell me. I'd rather talk it through than let frustration build.

Real Content

I need access to what's actually happening inside your business: real photos and, when possible, videos of projects, day to day work and the people behind it.

I'll guide you on what to capture. The more consistently you can give me real material, the more I can do with your marketing.

A Willingness to Show Your Face

This one is non negotiable for social media management.

You don't have to become an influencer or talk to a camera every day. But people need to see the person behind the business, even if that's simply through photos.

If you want to stay completely invisible and only post graphics, stock photos and a logo, my approach probably isn't the right fit.

An Open Mind

You're hiring me because you want help with your marketing, so I need room to actually help.

I want your input and feedback, but I also need you to be open to ideas and willing to try things that may be different from what you've done before.

My side of it

What You Can Expect From Me

My job is to get to know your business and build an intentional strategy around what we're trying to accomplish. I'll bring the ideas, writing and marketing perspective.

I'll think about what we're showing people, what we're saying and how we can make your business more familiar to the right audience.

I'll also listen.

If something doesn't feel right, tell me. There's no ego here. I want what we create to feel like your company, not something copied from every other business online.

Give it time to work

Good Marketing Takes Time

Social media isn't a switch we flip and suddenly your phone starts ringing tomorrow.

Someone might see your business on Facebook, come across another post later, visit your website and call when they finally need what you offer.

That's why familiarity matters.

We're giving people more chances to recognize your name and understand what you do. That takes consistency and patience, so I won't promise a certain number of leads or sales every month.

Honest fit check

When We Shouldn't Work Together

Not every business is going to be the right fit for how I work, and that's completely okay.

You want guaranteed leads or sales.

I won't promise a specific number of calls, leads or sales every month from organic social media.

You need every lead perfectly attributed.

Some customer journeys can be tracked, but others aren't that clean. Someone may see you on Facebook, visit your website and hear your name before finally reaching out.

You expect results right away.

Building trust and familiarity with people takes time, so results don't happen overnight. My clients understand things take time, and patience is a must. If you're expecting a big shift to happen fast, we're not going to work well together.

You're looking for the cheapest option.

I keep my services practical, but I work best with owners who are willing to invest in what they're building.

You don't want to participate.

You can let me take the lead, but I still need communication and usable content from the business I'm marketing.

You don't want anyone to see you.

You don't have to make videos or constantly be on camera, but there needs to be some human presence, even if that's simply photos.

You want to micromanage everything.

Feedback is always welcome. I also need you to trust my experience and give me room to do the job you hired me to do.

You have no idea where you want your business to go.

You don't need to know how to market your business. That's something I can help with. But you should have some sense of what you're building and where you want to take it.

How this feels day to day

This Should Feel Like a Partnership

I don't want working together to feel stiff or overly corporate.

I'm down to earth, and I want the people I work with to feel comfortable being themselves around me.

Send me an idea. Tell me when you don't like something. Laugh with me about something ridiculous that happened on a job. Send me a random photo because you think it might make a good post.

That stuff helps me bring your personality into the marketing. Some clients stay very involved. Others give me what I need and let me run with it. Either is completely fine.

What matters is that we communicate, trust each other and work like we're on the same team.
